River Trail Hike
Ready for an epic Lebanon hike? 🇱🇧 We explore Baakline and take the Jehliyeh Trail, two breathtaking areas in the Chouf region of Lebanon. Our stay at Shallalat al-Zarqa Airbnb placed us right on the famous blue waterfalls, and from there we hit the Darb el Naher Jehliyeh Trail (River Trail) in Jehliyeh, discovering hidden ponds, riverside picnic spots, and stunning natural gems.
We hiked over 6KM in 3 hours, climbing slippery trails, crossing waterfalls, and stumbling into the quirky Lake of Snakes 🐍, Tarboush Pond, Jasmine Grotto, and the now-private La Vista Picnic site. This trail was full of twists — both in terrain and local encounters. We ended our journey with wood-fired pizza at Un Basilico in Baakline and even caught views of Deir el Qamar, where we share the legendary tale of Fakhreddine and the light from Venus 🌟
Whether you're planning to hike in Lebanon, discover hidden nature escapes, or explore local culture off the beaten path — this vlog is for you.
