Raymond de Saint-Gilles Citadel
Tripoli Epic Fortress!
In our latest adventure, Gio and I set out to explore one of Lebanon's most iconic historical landmarks – the Tripoli Citadel. As we arrived, the towering fortress immediately drew us in with its ancient stone walls, standing proudly over the city.
The Citadel, also known as Citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles, has witnessed centuries of history, from the Crusader era to the Mamluks and Ottomans, each leaving their mark on this incredible site.
Walking through its narrow passages and expansive courtyards, it felt like we had stepped back in time. The panoramic views from the top were breathtaking, offering a glimpse of the vibrant city of Tripoli below, with its old souks and bustling streets. We took time to explore the various chambers, including the armory and the mosque, learning about the Citadel’s strategic importance over the years.
Throughout the vlog, we not only captured the Citadel’s architectural beauty but also its rich history. Sharing stories about the battles fought here, the different civilizations that shaped it, and how it remains a symbol of strength for the people of Tripoli, we tried to bring this historical gem to life for our viewers. If you're ever in Tripoli, the Citadel is a must-see, offering a perfect mix of history, culture, and stunning views. It was a trip full of discovery, and we can’t wait for you to experience it with us through the vlog!
