The drive alone was an adventure, with the dramatic scenery setting the stage for what awaited us. As we arrived at Hadrian’s Mercure Temple, perched atop a hill, the site’s sheer presence was awe-inspiring.

Dating back over 1,800 years, the temple, built to honor the Roman god Mercure, remains remarkably well-preserved. The towering stone columns and intricate carvings gave us a sense of the rich history embedded in this place. Walking through the ruins, we were transported back in time, imagining the Roman pilgrims who once traveled here to worship and seek guidance.

One of the highlights of our visit was hiking to a hilltop behind the temple, which provided breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and distant mountains.
