Douma

one of the world’s top touristic villages

Let me tell you about our amazing trip to Douma, a charming village tucked away in the heart of Lebanon's mountains. Gio and I had the privilege of visiting and vlogging Douma during a truly special occasion—it was being celebrated as one of the best touristic villages in the world by the United Nations World Tourism Organization! The excitement and pride in the air were contagious, and we were right there in the middle of it, capturing every moment.

The festival was incredible, with the whole village coming together to celebrate this huge achievement. We explored the old souks, met talented local artisans, and even enjoyed some traditional Lebanese dishes at the local eateries. There was so much to see and experience—from the vibrant colors of the village to the rich culture that has been preserved here for generations.

One of the highlights of the trip was the sense of history and community that you feel as you walk through Douma. The red-tiled rooftops, narrow alleyways, and stunning mountain views make it feel like you’ve stepped into another era. And during the celebration, the village was even more alive than usual—people dancing, music echoing through the streets, and smiles all around.

We also took some time to reflect on how much this recognition means for Douma. It’s not just a win for the village but for Lebanon as a whole, showcasing the beauty and heritage this country has to offer. And of course, we captured it all for our vlog, so viewers could experience the celebration right along with us.

Douma is truly a gem, and this recognition as one of the best touristic villages in the world only highlights how special it is. We felt so lucky to be there for such a historic moment, and it’s a trip we’ll never forget.
