Phoenician Wall

(it’s not a wall, it’s a quarry)

Batroun is happening.

Batroun, a name I'd known throughout my life, finally became a reality when I visited in July 2022. Gio and I were pleasantly surprised by the bustling tourism scene in Batroun and its uncanny resemblance to a vibrant Greek summer island. As we ventured deeper into this enchanting town, we uncovered a rich history, highlighted by the remarkable nearly 3000-year-old Phoenician wall. This historical discovery only deepened our fascination with Batroun, making our visit even more captivating.

In our Batroun 2023 video, Gio and I share our deep appreciation for how this enchanting town whisks us away to the vibes of Mykonos, one of our beloved destinations. This profound connection has inspired us to establish a tradition of making Batroun our annual getaway destination.

During our visit, we were fortunate to collaborate with John Bshara, also known as @BatrounCityGuide, who led us on a captivating tour of the city. In our Batroun Unleashed video, John delves into the rich history and vibrant past and present of this coastal gem.

When in Batroun, don't miss these fantastic spots: the Greek Amphitheatre, the Phoenician Wall, the Lady of the Sea Church, and delightful stops like Naji's Lemonade, Michelle Bakes Cakes and Hilmi's Lemonade.

There's so much to discover in this picturesque town, and it's become one of our favorite annual destinations.
